AIM

Thinking about AIM?

Consider joining TEAM FINLAND as an Associate Missionary!

Do you believe that you can change a country? Does the idea of winning a soul overseas excite you? How about praying for someone who then receives their healing?  Have you ever dreamed of changing an entire city, or being a spiritual pioneer?

Become an Associate in Missions with TEAM FINLAND; make your dreams become reality.

Although technologically advanced, Finland is a country without a true church. Their problems are many, but God is the answer. We invite you to allow Him to work through you in helping to solve their crises. If you are willing be a soul winner who assists in planting new house churches, Team Finland is for you. Our members will be located in various parts of the country, with responsibilities that will include relationship-building, new-contact bible studies, and various forms of outreach. To be a part of Team Finland, you must desire to touch lives, be available to allow God to use you in whatever way He deems necessary, and be willing to experience the adventure of overseas ministry.

OUR MISSION is to be the catalyst for the spiritual awakening of Finland by:

Evangelizing the country in a methodic manner,

Developing a network of apostolic believers through out the nation,

Sharing emotional and spiritual healing with the Finnish people, and

Instilling leadership principles in the Finnish, enabling them to develop into an indigenous church.

OUR PURPOSE is to:

Establish churches that are consistent with the word of God and with the doctrinal teachings as defined by the Articles of Faith of the UPCI.

Create effective leadership/ministry training program.

Found a training program for Finnish nationals, enabling them to fulfill pastor and laity-worker roles.

Provide liaison between apostolic churches of Finland and HQ of the UPCI.

Unite churches of like faith with UPCI.

Convert churches and individuals to the truth.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will your family be in Finland? Our deputation is scheduled to last two years (ending in May 2010). However, we are praying that it is much shorter than that!

How do I learn more about AIM? Visit www.fmdaim.org

How does one become an AIM?  First, pray. Seek God's direction for your future. Second, speak to your pastor. Because your pastor knows you best, and prays for you, he will be able to guide you through the process. His guidance and approval is necessary to ensure that you find success in following God's will. After pastor approval, while communicating with us along the way, begin the application process by visiting www.fmdaim.org and download the Associates in Missions application (or, you can write to fmdaim@upci.org if you do not have a printer, and they will send you an application in the mail). Just follow the directions contained within your packet; the approval process usually takes up to 2 months. Once you are approved, begin raising your money!

How long is an AIM term? The shortest is 2 months and the longest is 12 (with extensions available upon request).

How much money would I need to raise for a term in Finland? We are in the process of working with  the AIM department to determine costs; stay in contact with us about this!

How do you plan to reach the country?  We are dividing the country into regions by population (read more about this plan by visiting our vision for Finland webpage, or contact us via email for more information). Our goal is to have (12) AIM working alongside our family each year (culminating in 3 to 4 teams of 12 members, or couples, per year).
