What is TEAM FINLAND?
 
The evangelism of Finland is something that cannot possibly be done by our family alone. Knowing this, we have taken the matter to God in prayer numerous times over the past few years. He has systematically given us new ideas, then added to them over time, culminating into what we call TEAM FINLAND. We would not have attempted to operate a team such as this without His direction, for it is conceptually larger than we can humanly fathom. Imagine, if you will, offering a team concept to the entire apostolic church! Just think of the man-hours we will spend on communication alone! But God said "do it," so here we are, promoting TEAM FINLAND!
In a nutshell, the devil has had Finland as his playground for far too long. The last (UPCI) oneness missionary transferred out of the country in 1996, which means there have been few direct, on-soil attempts to reach Finns with the Good News. While other missionaries have made trips into Helsinki and held Bible studies with different individuals, they have other fields of responsibility and are unable to make this part of their regular duties. This makes constant contact with potential believers impossible for them to achieve. God is ready to change this; hence, our family's calling to Finland.
 
THE BASICS OF OUR TEAM
PART ONE - Intercessors (Finland's Intercessor Team), or "FIT"
We need intercessors who will agree to cover the country in prayer and effectively change the spiritual atmosphere of the country. This is not a selfish request, as we are not asking for you to pray only for Finland; rather, that you will simply add Finland to your prayer list. We believe that God will direct the prayers of those who commit to this, for at this point, He knows much better than we as to what the country needs. We have received prophetic words that revealed the presence of God's angels in Finland, doing battle there with the enemy's forces. God has also shown us in prayer that He has sent many legions of angels there to occupy the places where we have already physically been in the country. Folks, this is no small thing. God is intent on having a bride in Finland! Consider being a part of something larger than your personal world - help us affect an entire nation!
Team members will receive all communication via email, as it is simply too expensive - and time consuming - to pass along prayer requests via US Mail. Our messages will include prayer requests and/or victory reports; we will also automatically include you in our newsletter mailing list. PART TWO - Helpers (UPCI Associates in Missions), or "AIM"

Although technologically advanced, Finland is a country without an apostolic voice of truth. Their problems are many, but God is the answer. We invite you to allow Him to work through you in helping to solve their crises. If you are willing be a soul winner who assists in planting new house churches, TEAM FINLAND is for you. Our members will be located in various parts of the country, with responsibilities that will include relationship-building, new-contact bible studies, and various forms of outreach. To be a part of TEAM FINLAND, you must desire to touch lives, be available to allow God to use you in whatever way He deems necessary, and be willing to experience the adventure of overseas ministry.

PART THREE - Equippers (Partners in Missions) or "PIM," or financial supporters
Funding is needed for future outreach and team training in the various provinces. God has specifically directed us to evangelize the country by building a house church network throughout the country. While this concept is foreign to many people simply due to lack of personal experience, we assure you that it is a Biblical one used by the New Testament disciples (Acts 2:46, Acts 20:20). Because of the expensive nature of Finland's economy, we have not requested projects funds for hall churches during our initial term overseas, although we do expect to add them in the future so that large groups of believers can gather together for worship and fellowship.
Additionally, Finland has been previously rated as the fifth most expensive country in which to live in the world. However, it is our belief that because God is the author of our calling, He will also be the instigator of our financial miracle.
