MONTHLY NEWSLETTERS
We believe that communication with our team is a vital necessity. In order to know how to pray, an intercessor mush be informed as to how, what, when, why, and where...we have found that informed prayers bring results! If one is interested in helping us, how will they know the needs of the country if we don't share them?  And, if we are in need, but don't share, how will one know what to give, or when to give it - whether it be prayer, on-site help, or finances?
FMD requests that we share a quarterly newsletter with our supporters. Because we believe our team concept requires more constant communication, we try to put out a bi-monthly newsletter (or monthly, depending on necessity). We cherish the prayers of those who lift us up to Him - who are, and will become, a part of TEAM FINLAND, for we truly believe that it will take a team to reach Finland. It is humanly impossible for us to do it alone! Pictures speak a thousand words, and we do our best to include as many as possible in our newsletters.  We trust that they will convey to you some of the feelings that we experienced firsthand, either on the field or during our U.S. travels.

OUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE
After waiting for 7 years since Mark was called by God to Finland (read our family bio), we were appointed as missionaries to Finland at the UPCI General Conference in 2007, and embarked upon deputation (or fundraising) travel in March of 2008. Due to the extensive budget that we must raise, the UPCI Foreign Missions Division has projected our completion date as May 2010; however, we are praying for financial miracles that will greatly shorten our travel time.  God has spoken prophetically and said that He will have a bride in Finland, that there are many hungry souls there. He spoke in present tense, which means there are people actively searching for something to fill the emptiness that plagues their lives. Would you want to wait one to two years for your answer? We emphatically state that, "No, we would not want to wait!"
The budget we must raise for Finland is large due to the cost of living in Finland. We ask that you prayerfully consider helping us reach our budget goal by becoming part of TEAM FINLAND as a financial equipper.
