Although technologically advanced, Finland is a country without a true church. Their problems are many, but God is the answer. We invite you to allow Him to work through you in helping to solve their crises. TEAM FINLAND is in need of churches and individuals who can financially enable us to take the gospel to an un-churched region of the world.

Funding will be needed for outreach and team training in the various provinces. Additionally, Finland has been previously rated as the fifth most expensive country in which to live in the world. However, it is our belief that because God is the author of our calling, He will also be the instigator of our financial miracle.  Our family has undertaken the mission of reaching Finland with the gospel of Jesus Christ. While it is human to wish for circumstances that allow one to do it “all on their own,” God has taught from the beginning of time that we need others. 1 Corinthians 12 speaks about the body this way: “You can easily enough see how this kind of thing works by looking no further than your own body. Your body has many parts—limbs, organs, cells—but no matter how many parts you can name, you're still one body. It's exactly the same with Christ. By means of his one Spirit, we all said good-bye to our partial and piecemeal lives. We each used to independently call our own shots, but then we entered into a large and integrated life in which he has the final say in everything. (This is what we proclaimed in word and action when we were baptized.) Each of us is now a part of his resurrection body, refreshed and sustained at one fountain—his Spirit—where we all come to drink. The old labels we once used to identify ourselves—labels like Jew or Greek, slave or free—are no longer useful. We need something larger, more comprehensive. The way God designed our bodies is a model for understanding our lives together as a church: every part dependent on every other part, the parts we mention and the parts we don't, the parts we see and the parts we don't. If one part hurts, every other part is involved in the hurt, and in the healing. If one part flourishes, every other part enters into the exuberance. You are Christ's body—that's who you are! You must never forget this. Only as you accept your part of that body does your "part" mean anything.” (verses 12-13, 25-31, MSG) With that being said, we need you. We need you to join our team as a financial equipper (supporter). Please believe us when we say that we would love to be financially independent missionaries. However, God did not lay that path in front of us; He longs for all to be involved in the work of His kingdom! To be solely independent means to not need anyone besides ourselves, and that is not how God operates. We, as His body, are to work together to see His kingdom esablished.

We are building TEAM FINLAND with the idea of having three intricate parts: Finland’s Intercessor Team, on-site Associates in Missions, and our financial equippers, or Partners in Missions. We hope that you will prayerfully consider joining us.

The need is great, but our God is greater! Philippians 4:19 tells us that “...God shall supply all your need, according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (KJ21) As He is not physically here on earth, God uses us—His Body—to supply the needs of others. We are going to Finland to help the Finns, for they need to hear of His offer of redemption.
Luke 6:38 says, “Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.” (NLT)

When does your family expect to arrive in Finland? Our deputation is scheduled to end in May 2010. However, we are praying that it is much shorter than that!

 

Where is Finland located? Finland is located between Sweden and Russia in northern Europe.

 

How many apostolic churches are there in Finland? The UPCI has neither a missionary or established work in Finland. To our knowledge, there are currently no oneness apostolic churches in the country.

 

Are there limits to what a person can pledge? Due to rising inflation, the Foreign  Missions Division suggests a $50/month minimum pledge; however, we will not refuse any pledge amount. Remember the widow's mite? To refuse a smaller offering is to refuse someone a blessing!“Give, and you will receive. A large quantity, pressed together, shaken down, and running over will be put into your pocket. The standards you use for others will be applied to you.” (Luke 6:38 GW) One-time project offerings are also welcomed!
