Michigan, May 2008
Our time in Michigan was short - just one week, with part of it spent in travel, and some at conference. But, everyone needs down-time, so we took Candace to the Binder Park Zoo for some good quality fun...
Definitely, the highlight of the day was petting the wild giraffes (Dad had the least enjoyable of experiences -above-)!
In addition to attending (and receiving 7 PIM's at) MI District Conference, we also had three services in Michigan (all in one day), and enjoyed seeing God do some amazing things!

In anticipation of being away from family for an extended period of time, we're taking every moment possible to make memories...

We took the opportunity to attend a cell group meeting (Pastor Tex Perry, above left). Charlie had been seeking the Holy Ghost for two years; what a treat to be a part of  birthing a new babe into the kingdom, then to hear everyone exclaiming, "It's a boy!"
A family from Bro. Bradshaw's in Troy treated Mark, Glenda, and Candace to Six Flags while Miranda attended IL camp! What a FUN blessing it was!
WNOP's free missionary registration for Summons made it possible for us to attend; the restoration of virtue was exactly what we needed (it meant missing the opening session, and a "very" early-morning drive on Friday, but it was 'so' worth it)! Mom and Dad attended the adult sessions, while Miranda and Candace were able to experience excellent Children's Ministry firsthand while helping as Team Leaders. We were also able to reunite with some great friends while making some new ones. What a great "break" it was for our family!
